Why this matters
Great style dies on the hanger if the fit is off. A clean femboy size guide means fewer returns, smoother tucks, and outfits that look intentional—whether you’re buying a pleated mini, a crop hoodie, or stockings. This quick measuring routine takes 5–10 minutes and pays you back every time you shop.

What you’ll need
-
Soft measuring tape (or string + ruler), if no tape, try going off old clothing that fits you.
-
A mirror (full-length if possible)
-
Snug underwear or leggings (no bulky layers)
-
Notes app to save your numbers
If you don't have a soft measuring tape, we highly recommend you buy one. Here is one from amazon
The core measurements (in order)
1) Chest/Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest/pecs, parallel to the floor. Keep shoulders relaxed and breathe normally.
Why it matters: crops, tees, maid dresses, and hoodies hang better and avoid gaping.
2) Underbust
Directly under the chest.
Why it matters: bralettes, corset-style tops, and fitted dresses use this to anchor the torso.
3) Natural Waist
Bend to the side—the crease is your natural waist (usually above the navel). Measure here, not at jean height.
Why it matters: skirts, A-lines, and high-rise shorts sit here; correct waist = smoother tucks and no rolling.
4) High Hip & Full Hip
-
High hip: 7–10 cm below waist.
-
Full hip: around the fullest part of bum/hips.
Why it matters: minis and bodycon pieces need both so they skim, not strangle.
5) Rise (Front & Back)
From the centre front of your waistband, over the body, to the centre back (use a string, then measure it).
Why it matters: crucial for tucking comfort—tells you if a skirt/short will sit too low or pull.
6) Thigh & Inseam
-
Thigh: highest part at the top of the leg.
-
Inseam: inner leg from crotch to the ankle bone.
Why it matters: dolphin shorts, leggings, and wide-legs that don’t ride up.
7) Shoulder Width & Sleeve Length
-
Shoulder: point to point across the back.
-
Sleeve: shoulder point to wrist with elbow slightly bent.
Why it matters: cropped cardigans, dress shirts, and maid sleeves that actually fit broader frames.
8) Calf & Mid-Thigh (for stockings)
Measure at the widest calf and mid-thigh.
Why it matters: femboy stockings that stay up without cutting in.
Alternatively, you can go to a tailor and get it professionally measured. Make sure you ask for your sizes when they are finished!
How those numbers translate to real clothes
Skirts (pleated, A-line, skater)
-
Use waist as your anchor. If you’re between sizes, size up and rely on the elastic or a belt; pleats look crisper with a touch of ease.
-
If the full hip is > 25 cm larger than waist, favour A-line or skater cuts; they drape beautifully without pulling.
Shorts & Pants
-
Match full hip first; adjust waist with a belt or tiny dart if needed.
-
For gym/leggings, look for 10–20% elastane and a high rise equal to your measured rise.
Tops & Hoodies
-
If shoulders run broad, compare shoulder width to the size chart—sized-up shoulders + slightly cropped hem can read more feminine than a too-tight shoulder seam.
Dresses
-
Prioritise bust → waist → full hip in that order. Smocked backs and tie straps are your friends for in-between sizes.
Stockings & Thigh-Highs
-
Brands list height/weight, but mid-thigh & calf measurements trump both. If you’re near the upper band limit, choose silicone stay-ups or add a garter for zero slip.

International size conversion (quick cheats)
-
Women’s to Men’s shoes: women’s US ≈ men’s US + 1.5 (e.g., women’s 9 ≈ men’s 7.5).
-
Tops & bottoms: EU numbers are often most consistent; when in doubt, trust the centimetre measurements on the chart over lettered sizes (S/M/L).
- Keep in mind: that old clothing sizes that fit is a direct way to tell your femboy size without measuring. Ensure you have the actual measurements, and not just a S/M/L size as sizing varies across stores/regions.

Fit tips for tucking & comfort
-
High-rise = happy days. Aim for rise lengths that match your measured rise so waistbands don’t fight your tuck.
-
Stretch sweet spot: 8–12% elastane for panties/leggings; enough hold, no dig.
-
Ease is elegant: add 2–4 cm of ease at the waist for woven skirts so they float, not grip.
Try-on checklist (before removing tags)
-
Sit, squat, and step up a stair. Hems shouldn’t shoot up or waistbands dig.
-
Arms overhead test. Tops shouldn’t ride to your ribs.
-
Mirror from the side. Check waist placement and skirt line.
-
Walk 20 steps. If thigh chafe starts immediately, swap cut or fabric.
Final note
Save your measurements in your Notes app and revisit every few months. Shop with the numbers first, the letter size second, and your fits will look custom—because they basically are.
